THIS WEEKEND: FLATHEADS IN PALO ALTO, CA

MorrisSOCAL

This weekend, try a different kind of car show. Now, we know you all can’t come to Northern California for the weekend (but you should definitely give it the ol’ college try), but if you’re lucky to be anywhere nearby, make the trip to the Stanford University campus for the 44th annual Palo Alto Concours d’Elegance. Why? Because this year, one of the two featured marques of the show will be the Ford Flathead.

We couldn’t be more stoked. Stock Model Ts, As, Deuces, speedsters, roadsters, RPUs, dragsters, land speed cars, Thirties, Forties and Fifties-era cars…just about any configuration of flathead will be represented on the grass, not the least of which is our very own Dave Tanimura’s righteous Morris Bros. SO-CAL Speed Shop roadster.

We’ll be there stinkin’ up the place, drinking free glasses of wine and saying things like, “I don’t think the head bolts were all turned the same direction on that ’34,” and “Is the gauge correct on that battery terminal tag wire? You might wanna check that, just sayin’…”

Find out more on the Concours website (here) and we’ll see you there.
